TOMBSTONE - Arizona

TOMBSTONE OK CORRAL

Friday, March 27, 2020 -

J40

The alarm clock is done under the rain, it is 11°C outside.

We proceed quickly to the preparations to take again the road whereas the sun decides to show up to heat the atmosphere.

Departure after emptying and filling up with water.

Fill up with Diesel in TUCSON and drive to TOMBSTONE.

At destination we try to find a camp in BLM but our approach is vain.

There is no identified site but especially, we are in the middle of a shooting range with some bulls perhaps not so inoffensive.

We continue the road to the deserted city and find a camping space in the TOMBSTONE DRY CAMPING RV Park for 10$ + 3$/night for our RV and the dinghy.

We are almost alone in this large vacant lot not very fun but identified. We will not be disturbed.

The atmosphere is not with the festival it is necessary to organize our forced return.

At 5 p.m. we leave to the visit of TOMBSTONE and the place of the battle of OK CORALL.

Nobody in the streets, one would believe oneself in a ghost city. All the stores are closed.

The manageress of the OK CORRAL Coffee will even come to meet us to propose us a coffee that we will find... foul!

The wind chills us. The city is picturesque but everything is reconstituted for the tourists.

End of the world atmosphere once again.

Shopping at Walmart, our favorite store, in search of masks, gloves and hydro-alcohol gel. Everything is out of stock but we are given hope that it will arrive the next day.

Meal in the RV

Movie night "Wyatt Earp" to stay in the western atmosphere.
