Day 25
We take advantage of the immobilization of our RV to spend the day in ZION NP by the South.
Departure from the hotel with the sunrise to easily find a parking place and avoid the crowd.
Yesterday evening the American president D. TRUMP announced the closing of the borders for the flights coming from Europe except Great Britain (but it is already not Europe any more! The world psychosis of the Coronavirus is settling down.
Vincent wonders about an early return to Europe before the borders are closed in the other direction. There is talk of closing schools in Belgium, in France ...
We try to forget the reality the time of our visit to the Park.
We decide to leave our car at the parking at the entrance of the NP and to take the Shuttle to the Terminus. Temple Of SINAWANA.
It is very cold, the sun does not flood the valley yet.
We hike until the end of the path where the stream blocks our progress.
Contrary to some visitors, we are not equipped for a crossing, it is too cold to consider doing it without protection.
The landscapes are, as always, marvelous and each time different.
Return by shuttle bus with stops at
- BIG BEND
- GROTTO where we will hike again, this time to the waterfalls
- Stop at the Museum (free) to watch the movie (20min)
Back to the garage for the RV.
All was regulated. We will be able to recover the truck tomorrow but the alignment was not made it will be necessary to find another garage.
The context of crisis and the proximity of the places of consumption incite us to go to Walmart.
We find the rice/pasta shelves empty.
We will have to manage our food stock differently!
New night at the hotel where we take advantage of the heat and the comfort.
